Congratulations to St. Pete BJJ’s newest purple belt, Sebastian! At 53 years young, Sebastian brings a loving and positive attitude to the mats, along with a deep and practical knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu!
When asked how he got started at St. Pete BJJ, on the long and arduous path of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Sebastian had this to say, “At the church I attend, my friend is a brown belt in jiu-jitsu, and he told me I’d either love it or hate it. Well, that was about 3 and a half years ago, and I love it. And I love this school, Professor Sean Lynch is just absolutely remarkable, and these are some of the kindest, most treacherous people I’ve ever met, and it’s my family.”
What does he love about BJJ?
“To be able to go at somebody with full aggression, yet still be in enough control where you’re not trying to harm them. There’s something beautiful about that. Implicit in that is absolute trust and love. It just speaks to me.”
